• Set out disposable pie plates or shallow plastic containers filled with beer.   Slugs get drunk and drown!  
• Sprinkle diatomaceous earth, ashes, or gravel around your plants.  The slugs will dehydrate!
• Wrap aluminum foil around plant stems to prevent slugs climbing the plant.  (Don't wrap too tightly!)
