Bessie's Pumpkin Pie
Aunt Bessie was a great cook, a dry wit, and had fantastic posture! Maybe her pies had something to do with all that.
Ingredients
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1 can pumpkin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
1 can (16 oz) evaporated milk
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Steps
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Combine ingredients in order given; pour into pie shell.
- Bake 15 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350° F.
- Bake an additional 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
