Breakfast Chiles

Ingredients
1 cup half & half
12 ounce can whole green chiles
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
12 ounces Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
8 ounce can tomato sauce
Steps
  1. Beat together eggs, flour, and half & half until smooth.
  2. Cut the chiles in half (lengthwise) and remove seeds
  3. Dip chiles in the egg batter.
  4. In a buttered 8 x 8 baking dish, layer one-half of the chiles and about one-third of the cheese.
  5. Then repeat the layer of chiles and cheese.  Top with remaining egg batter.
  6. Pour the tomato sauce over the top and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.  Let stand for about 10 minutes before serving.
