Brownies in a Jar
Great idea for kids to make as gifts!

Jar Contents & Steps
1 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 & 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup (any combination) of chocolate chips, M&M's, or chocolate covered candy bar, chopped

1 cup (any combination) of chocolate chips, M&M's, or chocolate covered candy bar, chopped
- Layer ingredients in a 1 quart jar in any order (push ingredients down gently with a spoon to compact).
- Replace the jar lid and add a decorative label or a tab with the following instructions:
- Combine 1/2 cup melted butter that is slightly cooled with 2 beaten eggs.
- Stir in contents of jar.
- Pour into greased 8x8" square pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies test done.
- Remove from oven and cool. Cut into squares and serve.
