Want a quick and easy dessert??  Here it is - These are very similar to the butterscotch brownie recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar, packed down
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped
Optional:  Caramel sauce from a jar to swirl on top 
Steps
  1. Melt sugar and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.  When sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk or sift together, flour and baking powder.  Add to butter mixture, along with egg and vanilla.  
  3. Stir in the pecans.
  4. Place batter in a greased 9"-inch square baking pan.
  5. Bake in preheated 325° F oven for 20 minutes or until light brown.
  6. Cool a few minutes before cutting into squares.
