Chocolate  Peanut  Butter  Chip  Cookies

Recipe from my niece, Courtney Ricker Dale - Courtney has been baking Christmas cookies since she could reach the counter.    I, for one, love this tradition!
Ingredients - Makes about 4 dozen.
1 and 1/4 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2  cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 cups sugar
​2 cups peanut butter chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup cocoa
1/2  teaspoon salt
Steps
  1. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl.   Add eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  2. Whisk together:  flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.  Mix slowly into butter mixture.  Stir in peanut butter chips and nuts. 
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheet.  
  4. Bake at 350° F for 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not cook too long.)   Cool on cookie sheet about 1 min­ute.
