Lemon Syrup for Soda

gluten free / vegan
A lemon syrup you can add to sparkling water for your own lemony soda!

Ingredients - Lemon Syrup - Makes 1 & 1/2 cups
4 lemons - juice and zest
1 and 1/4 cups plain water
1 cup white sugar
Steps - Lemon Syrup
  1. Combine all in a pan over medium heat and slowly bring to a boil.  Turn heat to very low and simmer about 10-15 minutes until all is dissolved and the volume is reduced a bit.  Cool to room temp.
  2. Strain into a clean glass jar and refrigerate.  Keeps for about a week, refrigerated.
Steps - Lemon Soda
In a tall glass, add 2 tablespoons lemon syrup, ice, and fill up with 
sparkling water or Club Soda.  Stir and add lemon slices.
