Ingredients
4 strips bacon
a lot of okra, cut in small pieces
2 medium onions, sliced
1 (medium) can stewed tomatoes
3 or 4 tbsp brown sugar
Steps
  1. Cook bacon in skillet.  Don't cook it all the way.
  2. Add okra to bacon and bacon grease.
  3. Stir until okra is stringy.  Then add sliced onions.  Mix around a bit.
  4. Add tomatoes and sugar.
  5. Cover and simmer on very low heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Cook until all is tender and cooked together.
