Friends gave us Seville oranges. They are bitter - the oranges (not the friends), but are fantastic for marmalade and this! Add this to sparkling water or sip over ice.
Ingredients
1 (750) ml. bottle rosé wine
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup sugar
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise

1 cinnamon stick
4 Seville oranges, zested and juiced
1 navel orange, zested and juiced
Steps
- Combine all ingredients in a large glass jar that has been sterilized. (You can do this in the dishwasher or in a large pot of water on the stove - boil for 10 minutes. Make sure there is a rack on the bottom. The glass should NOT touch the bottom of the pot.
- Cover tightly with a jar lid and let stand in a cool, dark place for up to two weeks shaking every few days.
- Strain through a coffee filter and funnel into clean glass bottles. Cork and refrigerate for up to one year.
- Serve mixed with sparkling water for a refreshing cocktail or straight over ice.
