- Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Place breast side up in casserole dish with 5 tablespoons of water in the bottom. (You can use thighs and legs, as well.)
- Liberally brush on barbecue sauce (all sides).
- Bake 45 - 60 minutes in 400° F oven until internal temp measures 160° degrees.
Hubby's BBQ Sauce

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
1/2 cup of water
1/3 cup red wine vinegar or 1/4 cup plain white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

- Dissolve sugar over low heat with ketchup and water.
- When sugar is dissolved, whisk in all seasonings and simmer over very low heat for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
