spicy Baked chicken Tenders
Great as an appetizer or main dish. I've never seen the appeal of chicken wings - these are better.
Ingredients
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon water
1 & 1/2 pounds of uncooked boneless, skinless chicken tenders
salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce or 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
(You can adjust the spicy "kick" to your liking.)
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon water
1 & 1/2 pounds of uncooked boneless, skinless chicken tenders
salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce or 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
(You can adjust the spicy "kick" to your liking.)
Steps
- You'll need 2 plates and a small bowl.
- Gently beat the egg and hot sauce in the bowl with a fork.
- Place bread crumbs in one plate.
- Place flour and cayenne pepper in another plate.
- Rinse chicken tenders and pat dry. Sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper.
- Dip chicken in this order: first flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Gently shake excess off.
- Place coated chicken on a wire rack and put that on a cookie sheet for baking. OR - if you don't have a rack, just place chicken on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in a 450° F oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked all the way through. (I test one or two to see. You can use a thermometer and check for 165° F heat.)
- Serve with ranch dressing or salsa!
