Aunt Bessie Holdaway (Mama's sister) used to make these for us on Christmas morning!
- Dissolve yeast in warm water; sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening; add milk and yeast mixture. Stir until moist. Turn out on floured board and knead 2 minutes
- Roll dough to 1/2 inch and cut into biscuit shapes.
- Bake at 450 degrees until light brown.
