Brandy Milk Punch

New Orleans locals and tourists alike have been drinking milk punch for decades!   This recipe was inspired by the one served at Brennan’s restaurant.  Brennan's invented Brunch and the cocktails to be enjoyed with it!

Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
2 oz. whole milk
2 oz. half and half
1½ oz. brandy or Bourbon
1½ ounces Simple Syrup (sugar to water 1:1)

1 or 2 drops vanilla extract
Freshly ground nutmeg, for garnish
Steps
  1. Combine first four ingredients over ice and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into a glass or pour "over the rocks" into a glass with ice. Garnish with nutmeg.
Note:  I prefer mine  strained, so it stays creamy!!
