Chocolate Bundle
A bundle of chocolate goodness! Contains alcohol, but most will burn off in cooking.
Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate (not chips), broken
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup pecans, chopped
1 tablespoon Amaretto or Kahlua liqueur (can substitute 1 tsp almond extract)
1 sheet frozen puff pastry dough (I use Pepperidge Farm.)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate (not chips), broken
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup pecans, chopped
1 tablespoon Amaretto or Kahlua liqueur (can substitute 1 tsp almond extract)
1 sheet frozen puff pastry dough (I use Pepperidge Farm.)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Steps
- Thaw puff pastry until pliable. Roll the sheet with a rolling pin on a floured surface into a 14-inch square.
- Put the chocolate, nuts, and butter in the center. Pull up the edges of the pastry dough to a bunch in the center and give it a twist - like you were twisting the top of a plastic bag.
- Place the bundle on a greased cookie sheet or one lined with baking parchment paper.
- Bake in preheated 435° F oven for 15 -20 minutes.
- Sprinkle top with powdered sugar while still warm.
- Let cool for about 15 minutes before serving. (You can serve with plain crackers and cheese.)
