Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

 Is it a cookie, nope - it's a pie!  Serve with ice cream for a delicious dessert.​

1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked
2 eggs 
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
​1 (6 ounce) bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped (optional)
vanilla ice cream for serving
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
  2. Add flour and the sugars; beat until well blended.
  3. Blend in butter; stir in vanilla, chips, and nuts.  Pour into unbaked pie crust.
  4. Bake for 60 minutes in preheated 325 degree oven or until it's set.  Press with your finger, it should be sort of firm.
  5. Serve warm with ice cream.
