Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

Cookies, Brownies, and Bars
Great for making with kids - they can give this as presents.  You can too!
Kids Cook
When children (and even teens) are helping in the kitchen, always use safety first as your motto!
Supervise carefully and pay attention to details.   Remember - YOU are the responsible one.

Jar Contents:
1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or chopped semisweet baking chocolate
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
  1. Whisk together in a bowl:  flour, baking soda, and salt.  Put this into a 1 quart jar (I like to use Mason jars.)
  2. Next make in order a layer of chocolate chips, white sugar, and brown sugar.  Use a spoon to press each layer down.
  3. Screw on a lid, attach recipe label (see to the right) and decorate as you like, if giving for a gift.
This will be your label:
