Christmas Eve Apple PieBack in the 1980's there was a very cold, cold Christmas in Pascagoula, Mississippi. My niece, Courtney, and I made this pie on Christmas Eve in Mama's kitchen, getting in the way, but also managing to fill up everyone on this treat. I can still remember the warmth of the kitchen and the smell of cinnamon and apples! |
1 egg white
1 stick butter (softened) top & bottom pie crusts, unbaked 4 to 5 large apples (peeled and chopped into small pieces)
1 c sugar 1 tsp cinnamon (Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans and/or raisins)
