Cranberry sauce

gluten free / vegan
 Well, of course you can buy the canned sauce.  This, however, is so very much better and easy peasy.

Ingredients - Makes 2 cups
1 pound bag of fresh or frozen (thawed) cranberries
juice of 1 large orange 
1/2 tsp orange zest
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Steps
  1. Wash cranberries and remove any stray stems.
  2. Place all in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil over medium-high heat.  Stir constantly while berries pop and the mixture thickens.
  3. Let cool completely.
