If you don't have some of the spices, just put in a few drops of Tabasco or leave them out. It will still be yummy on your enchiladas!
Ingredients - Makes about 2 cups.
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (15 ounce) can or jar of tomato sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Steps
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over low heat. Don't let it smoke! Stir in minced garlic and all the spices. Stir for only about 2 - 3 minutes. Don't let it burn or stick.
- Adjust heat to medium and pour in the tomato sauce. Stir constantly for until hot - don't boil.
