A great cocktail for Champagne lovers - the French 75 was invented by Harry MacElhone in 1915 at his Paris bar, named Harry's New York Bar. Even though the French 75 didn't originate in New Orleans, Arnaud's Restaurant refined it in the 1920's. It's still very popular in New Orleans and is served in a wine or champagne glass.
