French Toast
A classic breakfast favorite - serve with jam, honey, syrup, powdered sugar, or even salsa!
Ingredients
6 slices of bread - thick slices are better
4 large eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil

Steps
- Whisk together: eggs, cream, milk, sugar in a bowl.
- Dip pieces of bread into the mixture - letting the mixture sink in well, then flip to the next side and coat as well.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Don't let it burn or smoke.
- Remove 2 or 3 slices at a time from the milk mixture, letting them drip first. Place them in the skillet and cook until golden brown - 2 to 3 minutes for each side.
- Put cooked slices on a greased cookie sheet in a warm oven to keep warm. Repeat process with the rest of the slices. (You may need to add additional oil or butter as the cooking progresses.)
- Serve with jam, butter, syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, honey, or even salsa!!
