Ingredients - Serves 3-4
5 or 6 Bratwurst sausage
1 large jar or package of Sauerkraut - drained (best is the kind in the refrigerated section of the grocery)
4 - 5 medium white potatoes (quartered)
water or chicken stock (2 quarts)
salt & pepper to taste (be careful, as the sausage is usually salty)
6-8 Juniper berries - dried and crushed (optional)
mustard (on the side)

Steps
- Brown the sausage in a skillet. Drain on a paper towel.
- Put all ingredients (except mustard) into a large pot.
- Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are done.
- Drain water.
- Serve hot with a good quality mustard on the side. A loaf of crusty bread will be a great addition.
