 1 cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce 1/2 cup of water 1/3 cup red wine vinegar or 1/4 cup plain white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons mustard 1 teaspoon red pepper (paprika) salt and pepper to taste |
- Dissolve sugar over low heat with ketchup and water.
- When sugar is dissolved, whisk in all seasonings and simmer over very low heat for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
