Mini Pastry Shells

You can fill these with sweet fillings or savory!

I use miniature muffin pans for these, but you can use regular ones.
Ingredients
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup all-purpose flour
Steps
  1. Combine cream cheese and butter in a small bowl; stir until smooth.
  2. Add flour, mixing well.
  3. Chill dough about 1 hour; roll into 24 (1-inch) balls.
  4. Place in well-greased miniature muffin tins, shaping each into a shell.
  5. Bake in 325° F oven for 10 -15 minutes or until they are lightly browned.  Don't over bake!
  6. Let cool then remove from muffin tins with a knife. 
  7. Fill with sweet or savory fillings.
OR
Before baking - fill shells with fillings to be baked, such a pie filling, quiche filling, etc.   Then:
  1. Bake in 325° F oven for 20 -25 minutes or until they are lightly browned.  Don't over bake!
  2. Let cool then remove from muffin tins with a knife.
