Pam Murray Logan went to school with me.  These are wonderful for Christmas with strawberry jam and EASY!

3 sticks butter, softened
1 c sugar
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla
jelly or jam of your choice
The ones pictured are fancy!  I usually don't do all that - just roll into a ball, stick in your thumb, and fill with jelly!
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Mix in egg yolks, flour, and vanilla.
  3. Roll into balls the size of marbles.  Indent with thumb and fill with dab of jelly or jam.
  4. Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
