Popovers
Delicious with jam or a drizzle of honey...
Ingredients
1 tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
Steps
- Use butter to liberally grease a muffin tin. Place tin in a preheated 425° F oven until it is hot - about 3 to 4 minutes.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and pour in milk.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour and salt.
- Stir flour and salt into the egg and milk mix.
- Remove hot muffin tin from oven and carefully pour batter in. The batter will be very thin and that's normal!
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with butter and jam or honey.
- This makes about 10 popovers. Be sure to place a couple of tablespoons of water in the two muffin tin spaces that you don't use. This keeps the muffin tin from warping.
