A New Orleans favorite invented by Henry C. Ramos in 1888 at his bar, the Imperial Cabinet Saloon on Gravier Street.

1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
3/4 ounce simple syrup (recipe link)
1 ounce heavy cream
1 egg white
1/2 ounce soda

Steps
- Combine gin, lemon juice, lime juice, egg white, cream, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Shake for about 20 seconds. Add ice and shake for a bit more.
- Strain into a cocktail glass. Pour the soda into the shaker to get the last of the fizzy froth. Slowly pour soda into the drink.
- Garnish with an orange peel or slice and serve.
