White chocolate pretzels

Appetizers and Snacks
A fun holiday recipe from my sister-in-law, Pat!   I could eat an entire bowl.
Picture

I'm willing to bet that if you were alive and eating solid foods in the 1980's, you'll remember eating these during the holiday season.  Once we tried our first bite, my mom, my sister-in-laws and I were hooked!  We bought bags and bags of pretzels and many bars of white chocolate.  Everyone received a tin of these for Christmas presents - for years!
Once you start dipping pretzels, it turns out it's hard to stop with just pretzels.  We soon branched out to potato chips and even tortilla chips (not a good match).
Despite the passing of time, I still love these - the salty and sweet taste always gets to me!

10- to 12-ounce bag white chocolate chips
1 pound salted pretzels - not pretzel sticks
wax paper
kitchen tongs or fork
  1. Melt white chocolate in microwave for 1 minute - then stir and10 second increments more until melted - or over very low heat on stove (stirring). Remove from heat.
  2. Be fast - dip pretzels one at a time into the chocolate, then transfer to the waxed paper.
  3. Let them dry, then store in a cool place in an airtight container.  Best to layer them between sheets of baking parchment paper or more waxed paper.
