Cosmopolitan

 The cocktail that was born from TV!  Cosmopolitans became THE drink for many New Yorkers during 1998 - 2004, the years that the TV show, "Sex in the City", was popular.  It's pink, it's sexy, and it's fairly delicious!
Serves One.
Ingredients
1 cup ice, or as needed
1 & 1/2 ounces vodka
1 & 1/2 ounces cranberry juice
1 Tablespoon (1 ounce)  orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 lime twist for garnish
Steps
  1. Put ice in a cocktail shaker and add everything except the garnish!
  2. Shake, shake, shake until the shaker's frosty and chilly.
  3. Strain into a glass and garnish with the lime twist.  Alternatively, you can strain it over fresh ice to serve.
Note:  If you don't have a cocktail shaker, just use a jar with a lid and a mesh strainer!

3 ounces (6 tablespoons) Cranberry Juice
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) lime juice
2 ounces (4 tablespoons) sparkling water
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) orange juice
Steps
  1. Put ice in a cocktail shaker and add cranberry juice, lime juice, and sparkling water. 
  2. CAUTION:  Shake gently or the sparkling water will make a mess!!!!
  3. Strain into a glass and garnish with the lime twist.
  4. Add the splash of orange juice and serve. Alternatively, you can strain it over fresh ice to serve.
Note:  If you don't have a cocktail shaker, just use a jar with a lid and a mesh strainer!
