Love this! You can use the same recipe for focaccia bread too!
Makes 2 crusts
3 & 1/2 cups flour
1 package dry yeast (instant)
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 cups warm water (around 112 degrees)
3 tbsp olive oil
3 & 1/2 cups flour
1 package dry yeast (instant)
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 cups warm water (around 112 degrees)
3 tbsp olive oil
- Stir together: flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl or in the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until the dough forms itself into a ball-shape. If it doesn't, add more water - 1 tbsp at a time.
- Place remaining tablespoon of oil into a clean bowl. Put the dough into the bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a dish towel and set into a warm place out of drafts for about 30 minutes to an hour - until double.
- Divide dough into two pieces and shape into pizza crust on floured surface. Let rest for about 10 minutes, then add favorite toppings.
- Once you have added toppings - cook at 425 degrees for about 12 - 15 minutes. If cheese is one of your toppings, check often until cheese is bubbly, but not burned.
